Native Spanish speakers: in conversation, do people ever say "¿tenemos cuantas bolsas?" Would it have a different connotation?

The English translation of what you wrote would be: we have how many bags‽

With the connotation (feeling of/intent behind the question) being disbelief or sarcasm rather than simply asking about the number of bags we have in our possession.
