For a continuous training, I would suggest a "Volkshochschule" (Vhs). Bocholt has one: https://vhs-bocholt.de/index.php?id=31&kathaupt=11&knr=BG18155&kursname=DaF+-+Niveau+A11+a

They offer long-time courses, weekend courses, they are quite inexpensive. I've looked for a "German as a foreign language" course for you, but you could also do something that is closer to a hobby. Vhs offer a great variety of topics.

I guess that in these courses there will be many people from abroad, which is certainly very interesting. I remember an English course in Oxford where I got to know people from Venezuela, France, Korea, Japan -- all trying to learn the English language. I loved it.

If you want to find English people learning German, you might consider posting in your local newspaper. But the downside is: If you all are English, you will speak English. The great advantage of an international group is that all can agree to use the language to be learned as the means of communication.

Talking in German to other English people will probably feel very awkward (that's what I found in Oxford with my German co-student when we were alone in our living room -- we decided to keep speaking English, but it felt really weird at first.)

https://www.iik-duesseldorf.de/ Intensive Summer program. Live with a German family during this time, so you are practicing German 24 hours a day. Don't stay with people, who will be speaking to you in English.
