Does anyone know why "No, there is no dog," is not a correct answer?
Maybe there is a difference between 'that is ...' and 'there is'?
"No, that is no dog". Should be okay, should it not?
I'd say it is stronger, "no dog" - "žádný pes".
Why is "No, that is not the dog" incorrect?
The would require a demonstrative to point out you mean THE specific dog.
Ne, to není ten pes.
That makes sense. Thank you!
