"torgh DaHoHqa'laHbe', mara."

I continue to be annoyed by Klingon sentences using apposition.

In this example, when given the Klingon, I want to begin (not end) the English translation with the name Mara.

The mara isn't grammatically a part of the main sentence; it's just added in direct address, so there's really no reason it should move in translation. Maybe you're imagining Klingon syntax as "backwards English" and trying to make mara backwards as well?

I suspect that's EXACTLY what's going on.

knowing this doesn't make me any less annoyed.
