Accidentally accessed a random user's account...?

I don't know if this should go in the trouble-shooting forum or not. If this does, then I will relocate this post.

Recently, I was trying to log-in into another account that I use for specific languages. When I logged into that account, it did not look the same. Different languages were set, I was following over 1000 people, and my username was "log-in".

Mind you, I only have the French, Korean, and Japanese from English trees on my secondary account. I don't follow anyone on that account or post in the forums, nor is anyone following me, so it's an account that is used purely on focusing on the Home tab.

Initially, I thought someone hacked my account, until I went into the Home tab and everything went back to normal. Though, I can still see that other page with a different account on it when I go back into my history.

It seems to me that I was able to access the information of someone else's account, but I did not do this on purpose. Should I be concerned that I was able to do this? I don't believe I altered anything on that account, if that account information was even real. It could have been a glitch. However, I just didn't know what to do when this happened and I want to make sure I did not accidentally hack someone's account.

Edit: The same thing occurs when I revert to my main account. So, I don't really know what's going on or how I'm doing this. I'm sort of afraid to do lessons, lest I manipulate that random account's information (assuming it is real).

This has been happening to me for a while. The exact same thing. I don't think "log-in" is another user. It's just a landing page. Once I click any of the links, it becomes evident that I'm logged in to my own account.

That's good to know. I had a feeling that it wasn't a user's account, but what threw me off was the progress on the two languages that shows up. Almost like it is a user account. Though, if I'm not the only one who experiences this, then it must not be a serious situation.

Thank you! Now I can stop worrying about sabotaging someone's account. ^ ^

This happens to me already for weeks, every time when I log in. I even changed my password, but that did not help.

I think it is one of the lots of current glitches in Duolingo, not harmful but very annoying.
Duo leads me to the profile page of the user "log-in" www.duolingo.com/log-in instead of Duolingo's homepage www.duolingo.com

Is your username shown on the blue bar at the top? If so, you are logged in to your own account and this is just the profile page of another user.

Edited to add:

http://www.duolingo.com/log-in shows 2 different pages depending if I am logged in or not. When not logged in, the following page is shown:

And this is how it looks when I am logged in:

So the problem is that the profile of the user with name "log-in" has the same url as the login page.

I would suggest to move this to the troubleshooting forum to make Duolingo more aware of the problem.

Me too. It looks like somebody created user named "log-in", and this user's page loads after logging in, instead of login/home web page (probably because it has the same URL). Good joke :-).
