"What time does the shop close?"
Translation:¿A qué hora cierra la tienda?
In English: AT WHAT TIME DOES THE SHOP CLOSE ? I find it annoying that this sort of Americanism is creeping into English. In a movie 'Casablanca' there was a German refugee who wanted to go to Am'rica, so he was learning English/ Am'rican: " Wat's watch nuw? Is whats ten whutsh aallreddy...?" So there's a hint to DL. Take that!
In English: WHAT TIME DOES THE SHOP CLOSE?
Both sentences are English. What's the purpose of putting it in all caps? It's not an Americanism, it's just part of the language. You keep complaining about sentences where British English isn't used. You can't still be surprised that Duo uses American English.
