Even With my Ad Blocker Disabled Ads are Still Blocked.

I checked on , because I felt bad about blocking the ads if I knew that they would be helping Duolingo.

I followed the instructions for Adblock Plus, which was rather simple, and I was looking to see if it worked.

Turns out, it didn't.

It stills shows me the, "Ads help us keep education free." Dialog box, though I don't know why, because my ad blocker is disabled.

I also have Avast Online Security, and even when I let the 1 web analytics run, it still won't show me ads.

This may sound silly, but I really wants ads on here so I can help out Duolingo the best I can... If disabling my Adblock Plus wasn't enough, what is?

After reading ( I learned that it's probably from me being in the Incognito mode. After turning it off, ads appeared, which solved my problem.

Thanks Rick392366 and sicily for the help!

I don't have those issues with this combination :
Windows 10, Chrome browser, uBlock Origin (disabled for duolingo).

I have Windows 10, I have a Chrome browser, but I don't have uBlock Origin, I have Adblock Plus. Does that mean that Adblock Plus is the issue?

Adblock plus could be the issue .... that's the only difference in the setup.
I also don't use add-ons/extensions.

Edit : Could it be the Avast virus scanner ?

this has some potential solutions, but i'm pretty sure the bit about chrome natively blocking ads is not true, or at least it depends on what OS you're using

Actually, when I checked my settings, it said that intrusive ads were blocked by default, but allowing them still didn't fix the problem.

I have the same issue with Firefox. Even with extensions completely disabled (not just on Duolingo), I never see the ads
