I achieved my first Japanese language-learning goal!
I know this is so self-congratulatory, but I wanted to share this with my Duolingo pals.
When I first started seriously learning Japanese at the beginning of 2018 (New Year's resolution!), the first mini goal I set for myself was to complete the Duolingo Japanese course. I actually achieved that a few months ago, but then the course structure changed to the crown level system. So I modified my original goal to be to have a completely golden Duolingo Japanese tree. I'm happy to say I finally achieved that yesterday!
Duolingo helped me to kick off my love for learning this language, so I hope you all achieve your goals as well! みんなさん、頑張りましょう！
That's awesome!! I hope to finish the Japanese tree soon, so this is very encouraging!
Congratulations! I've been trying to complete the course with a few friends of mine, after that we are gonna keep learning however we can, if anybody has suggestions plz tell me, preferably on discord, my tag is 『altonjoe』
7409

Thanks! I plan to continue studying using the Genki series, the みんなのにほんご series, and the Japanese Graded Reader series.
I think Duolingo gives a great introduction to a variety of N5-level topics and grammar points. If you use it in conjunction with a few other resources (textbooks, other apps, books, etc.) then I think Duolingo is a great tool for reinforcement!
