Grammar notes in app but not online

Why on earth are the grammar notes only available on the Duolingo app, and not online? Doesn't make any sense. I'd prefer using Duolingo online, but it really sucks not to see the grammar notes.

The only skills in the Spanish tree that have Grammar tips and notes anymore are: Intro, Phrases, Animals, Present1, Food2, Adjectives1, Grammar, Past Tense, and Ir Future. I found this out on the website version of the tree. If you're looking for more extensive grammar and vocabulary articles, check out this link: https://forum.duolingo.com/comment/24635443.

@Heidi This is on IOS, right?

It might be a new test for another mobile app notes system which does not relate to the usual "tips and notes" in the web app or your SHOF progress page: http://www.duome.eu/Heidi140297/progress

Do you see any notes differences for the above listed 9 skills?

@Heidi

Are the DuoLingo (IOS) newer mobile app notes comparable to the www.lingvist.com grammar notes popup panel which auto-fades in from the bottom of the web or mobile page (also working on Android!) when you get an answer (typed word) incorrect?

@Heidi

could you include 3-5 screenshots of those other skills, which are not already available in the 9 listed skills for the web portal?

The best is to upload to http://imgur.com and reference the pictures with the ! [hint text] ( URL )

Grammar notes are available online. Do you mean you don't see them on the app?

No I mean it the way I said it, no tips online. So seems they should be visible online too, guess I have some bug then :|

Try this: http://www.duome.eu/Heidi140297/progress

You might run into an A/B test to disable the "tips and notes" (lightbulb button) for your account on the web portal:

Yes, they should be available with the light bulb button. If you wish, you can report a bug here.

A bug report makes no sense because of this A/B test: https://www.duolingo.com/comment/27730071

Interesting! Didn’t know there was an A/B test going on. Hope the notes stay (or a toggle is offered at least).

@gamekkeut

Well, it could be that EVERYONE is put into the control (available notes) group....but who knows....

Any news Heidi?

I tried the recent Android app V3.90.1 for my updated EN-SP tree and the first skill did not show "tips and notes".

Unfortunately my second skill "Common phrases" was not unlocked, but this should have at least notes (on the web) too for a further test.

So I think this is a new IOS exclusive development and/or A/B test.
