I finished my High Valyrian tree!
So I finished the High Valyrian course like 3 or 4 days ago and man, I loved it so much! It was a bit hard and I felt like I was doing a Latin course, all those cases.. but I finally made it.
EDIT: I want to thank D.J. Peterson for making this language and helping the whole course! Hope you'll see my post!
So esso, congrats! My name is Cat.Nice to met you. You'll be ready for the next season.Your owl is awesome. And, so are you! Say Hello to Jon Snow and Kalesi for me.Your friend Cat Mirre se syrje.
It took me 2 weeks to complete the tree but I guess I could finish it in like 5-6 hours.
It was definitely not easy. The SOV word order also confused me a lot! But to be honest, I fell in love with High Valyrian! You know, the harder it was, the more I enjoyed it. From the beginning I knew it was going to be a hard one, though I gave it a try and I completed it. So if you feel like you actually like this language with all those cool-sounding words, go for it! Learn it!
great job, dude. as a game of thrones fan i am a little bit jealous of you :)
That is awesome! I'm obsessed with GOT and still haven't finished it :(
Never give up! You'll finish it and know some sentences in HV that only GOT fans know!
congrats! i gave up when i realized there were no audio examples. i was super disappointed bc i was way pumped to learn it for the last season of GOT. : (
noo I can't, I'm just starting seriously learning esperanto. But I wanted to know how good is the course, cuz it even has no sound. I'd love to learn it though
Okay that makes sense. I just got to level 2 right now. Here is a sentence in the language: Muñī urnen.
Congratulations! wasn't it hard without sounds? I wanted to learn it but stopped immediately the moment I figured out the course lacks recorded words.
It was hard, but not because of the lack of audio files. Anyway, I heard that Emilia Clarke and other GOT characters will participate in HV course's audio recordings.
"I heard that Emilia Clarke and other GOT characters will participate in HV course's audio recordings." - - - - that would be absolutely epic!!!
samezz for me. seems like too much work for not enough sure knowledge. i'd be left guessing about pronunciation too much. i was so disappointed with that course.
