"I don't have children."
Translation:Yo no tengo hijos.
When it gave me my correction, it said I should use "niños", which, to me, sounds more like, "No, I don't have any children in my basement." As opposed to the more normal interpretation of sons or daughters.
I put ¨No tengo hijos.¨ and it said it should be ¨No tengo niños.¨ Now it says here Yo no tengo hijos.
I did the same, my understanding is that the pronoun shouldn't be used in most cases. Wonder why duolingo wants it used here?
I have ascertained no system for when Duolingo requires the pronoun and when it drops it. My answer was "No tengo hijos," and it was marked wrong also.
When I got the sentence "yo no tengo hijos" I translated it to "I don't have children" and it was correct, yet it doesn't accept it in reverse.
Bueno pues, parece que nos todos estamos de aquerdo.. "No tengo hijos" is a valid or n₩morebparappropriate snswer"
