Erase Progress

Is there a way to erase your progress only on a specific skill?

When the Spanish tree upgraded, a few skills that I had mastered went much further up the tree, and gained harder grammar and more vocabulary. Now, when I practice, Duolingo thinks I know much more than I do. Is there a way to erase my progress in these later lessons?

Not on a specific skill. You can only do that for the entire course :(

There might be a way to use to figure out which individual skills need review the most, but right now I'm still building crown levels and going by that, so I'm not very current on how to use Maybe someone else could help with that.

Hi Nick_Pr,
Here is some additional information to Lrtward's comment.

In one's unofficial progress page
is a dumbbell icon next to the name of each skill.
This will give a practice with only the words and sentences of that individual skill

  • log in in the browser of your phone, tablet or Pc

  • open a new tab and go to

  • to find a particular skill easely, you can sort the skills by going to Progress and tap Original Order or Name

  • tap the dumbbell icon

  • and the practice will start in your original Duolingo course.

However, it looks like you have reset your tree to start from the very beginning.
I think, that is a good decision.
If a skill is too easy, you can test out of that skill in your Duolngo language tree by tapping the "key" icon next to te "start" button
