Any good resources for learning the InScript Layout?

I've set up the InScript keyboard layout and it works beautifully...but it's intimidating and I'm find it very hard to get started.

Right now the only help I have is a picture of the layout which I have been keeping open in another window while I do Duolingo, and it's unfortunately a very slow "hunt and peck".

Does anyone have any recommendations of resources to help me learn this layout quickly and efficiently? I'm particularly interested in:

  • A tool that speaks the sounds out loud on keypress
  • A series of typing lessons that starts super simple and takes me up through progressively more complex typing. Ideally I would like (a) something that speaks the words out loud so I am also learning the writing system and associating it with sounds (b) something that has a picture and highlights the key I need to press next, to speed up my visual searching.

Does anything like this exist? It seems like it would be easy to program if it doesn't. If it doesn't, I might try making it myself because a tool like this would be incredibly helpful.

I don't think such a tool exists. Hindi is not a very prestigious language even in India. As a result there is hardly any work towards hindi learning apps. Most of the effort is spent on learning English through Hindi.

This makes some sense, but is sad. Maybe I can create such a tool. If I do, I will share it here.

I bought a set of transparent stickers off ebay so I can at least see the characters on the keyboard
