Tips for learning Hindi?

Hi there. I was wondering if any of you might have some tips for learning Hindi?

For example I've been writing down all the words and letters in a notebook with their translations and transliteration (writing it out phonetically in English).

I've also been using http://www.learning-hindi.com/vowels to help me learn how the Hindi writing system works.

Do you have any other tips, advice, or suggestions? Thanks!

    Go to this website https://www.lifehacker.com.au/2012/04/how-i-learnt-to-speak-four-languages-in-a-few-years/

I would suggest that the effort to learn to read the Devanagari script is well rewarded; once learned, the script tells you how to pronounce the word accurately. Much better to be able to go from Devanagari directly to the translation than have to go through a romanization stage

Get used ot SOV if you do not speak SOV language but before anything focus on learning the high low hindi sounds

Definitely learn Devanagari before anything. If you romanize you will form a bad habit of mispronouncing many words, which is a difficult habit to break.
