Swedish: Is there a difference between 'lille' & 'små?'
Is there some sort of difference between the two words? If so, what? Whenever I use 'små' has an option, Duolingo nearly always counts it as an error or at least much less preferred to 'lille.' I'm now avoiding 'små' entirely, despite using small much more in my native language (English) than little. Tack, tak, kiitos, giitu, etc.
That is correct.
A small car - En liten bil
A small house - Ett litet hus
Small cars - Små bilar
Small houses - Små hus
The small car - Den lilla bilen
The small house - Det lilla huset
The small cars - De små bilarna
The small houses - De små husen
"Lille" is the masculine form of "Lilla". It's not used so often anymore.
The small boy - Den lille pojken / Den lilla pojken
Thanks Everybody - things like this are why it's be nice if Duolingo could tell you WHY something is wrong, instead of just labelling it wrong.
