Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

49 different people worked on translating the article so far!

New feature to me!

The immersion article now displays those who have worked on it. The translators are displayed on the right side under the document information.

Forty-nine people have worked on this one so far: https://www.duolingo.com/translation/681623823e6227702ba198e32b0cb2ee

I quickly checked a different article I worked on and it showed 14 people had contributed.

I love this feature. It's very cool to see who I'm collaborating with!

Unfortunately, the more people who work on a single document, the harder it is to end up with a translation that everyone is happy with. There are usually endless people making minor and frequently nit-picking tweaks to what is often a perfectly good translation; the person who comes along and literalises a decent translation by reverting to a word for word rendition that is largely nonsense in English; the one who throws a tantrum over someone editing his translation, even when the change genuinely improves the translation; and so on.

Too many cooks really can spoil the broth.
