"И в восемь, и в девять часов Анна была дома."

Translation:Both at eight and at nine o'clock Anna was at home.

This does not sound like something a native English speaker would say in my opinion...

In English we might stylistically lead with "Anna was at home......" in a single sentence, but what they have is fine. Imagine someone reading a timeline describing Anna's activities for the day.

Just saying, the number of times I write Anna for она and vice versa is starting to annoy me. I really need to specifically listen to both speeds to be sure. One of the remaining listening skills I have to acquire, I guess.

Weird sentence

April 9, 2019

Анна выла дома=Anna was at home Can someone tell me why this is a mistake?

The mistake is with "была", you typed "выла", replacing a "б" with a "в". Your spelling would be pronounced as "vela" as opposed to the intended and correct "bela".
