I want to repeat lessons!

When is Duolingo going to bring back the ability to repeat an individual lesson? There is no reason to take this feature away. I used to love repeating lessons over and over until I felt comfortable with the material before moving on. Now it forces you to move on and I have no time to remember what I just learned. This change is awful.

Posting support. Very worst part about the crowns. Makes a huge difference in my learning.

I just started using this a couple of days ago. I went to repeat and couldn't figure out how. Wow ability to repeat lessons is a must. Why would you take this away?

Words cannot express how strongly I agree with this post. I am NOT progressing in Korean with this new Crown system precisely because I cannot repeat the lessons. The lesson repetition allowed me to recognize patterns & create a "mind map" for the lesson content. From this, I was able to create notes that outlined unifying principles & notes for problematic words & rules. This framework allowed me to extrapolate the language to new situations. The "practice" is too random for me to accomplish this. I feel shaky with rules & patterns, but there is no way to go back & create a framework of notes from the practice exercises. Vocabulary is not sticking & I feel like I cannot move on to new material. My progress in Swedish with the old system was so clear, logical & fast. This new system seems to get in the way of learning Korean - even though I could sound out Hangul before I started. So sad & frustrated. Bring back lesson repetition.

Does anyone experience crashes with Japanese for Android? I find that it contually crashing, so I have to switch to using Chrome which does not offer the same advantages.....apart from the fact it doesn't crash. I subscribe to Duolingo hich should make a slight diffence. Would greatly appreciate to know my situation is not unique.

Probably, because your issue does not belong in this discussion about "I want to repeat lessons"

I keep hearing people say this, and I still do not understand what the problem is. I get the format is different but by continuing to practice to level 5, the lesson is being repeated. And after you reach level 5, you can continue to practice it all you want. I find the amount of actual material in each skill is not near as much as was contained in some skills under the old system. You might have had 10 separate lessons each focused on different words. It seems to me we now have more skills but each is now more consistent with how much information is contained in them. I think the theory being that there is not so much information in each skill that is has to be divided into sections to continue practicing the information in it. I liked the way the old system worked because of how much information some skills had. But I honestly don't think it is needed for this system.

You might have had 10 separate lessons each focused on different words.

Might have had? You're probably referring to the new Spanish tree.

Try Irish. A while ago I had three skills, each consisting of 9-10 lessons, some time later two skills 7 lessons each, and the one I'm supposed to be doing now has 10 lessons again. And yes, each does focus on different words. Had I not downgraded the app to be able to repeat individual lessons, this would be a nightmare.

EDIT: Well, actually I've just checked and in the Spanish tree there are also around 10% skills with 8-10 lessons in them.

How do you downgrade the app? I would love to do that if I can repeat lessons.

You can do the lesson again, crown levels go up to 5.

That's not what I'm asking. Before the update, after you finished a lesson there was a button that said "repeat lesson." You could also find a specific lesson that you wanted to redo. This is no longer available. I can't fathom a reasonable reason to take this away. I have no problem with the new crown system, but it baffles me as to why this is no longer an available feature.
