Where is my post?
Hello, Sometimes when I click "submit" after writing a post in a discussion, my post disappears! This is very frustrating when I'm trying to get some help with a sentence in a lesson (I'm learning German). I've even tried looking under "new posts", and it's not there either. Can someone help me with this?
I know post can sometimes be downvoted enough where they'll disappear from "new posts".
Also, are you sure you receive posts under the topic you've posted under? It could be there. You just wouldn't see it.
This happens seconds after i post. i mean, i don't even see it directly after i've posted it! When my posts are responded to, though, i always (as far as i know) am notified by email.
Okay, downvoting is out.
It sounds as though it could still be the other one. Other people are finding your discussion just not you. Are you subscribed to the topic you've posted the discussion under? It is on the side of the discussion posts' list.
Hmmm. I'm not sure what you mean and I don't know how to check. i get to the discussions from clicking the 'discuss' button next to the 'report' button of the particular sentence i'm having a problem with. i know that it says 'following discussion' in the upper right corner of the page i'm trying to post to. the problem answering you question is that i don't know how to get back to the particular 2 discussions i was trying to post in. i don't even know how to get back to the 'german discussions' sections from the 'troubleshooting' section. i'm not great with computers - so this all may be obvious to others :-( something i HAVE noticed though: unlike in the 'troubleshooting' sections, there seems to be no place to write in a topic in the particular german discussions i was trying to post on. is that normal?
ok, this is weird. someone just replied to one of my posts that i thought had disappeared! so it turns out it was way down the page, under posts that are 2 years old! how does that happen?
Try sorting discussions by New instead of the default "Popular". You should also be able to go to your Following tab and see what you posted, I believe you automatically follow anything you post.
