Marugoto Elementary A2-3 now available as online course

Here is something to do while you are waiting for Duolingo to revamp the Japanese course:

As of today, the third volume of the Marugoto textbooks, both かつどう and りかい, is available as an online course. The first two courses have been available for a while; I have worked through both and found them quite helpful - there is audio, some video and plenty of exercises with instant feedback. かつどう is more can-do oriented; りかい teaches you grammar - you do the かつどう part of a lesson first and then move on to りかい。

You do not need to have the Marugoto textbooks in order to take the course (however, the textbooks have transcripts of the audio in the back - this I find very useful at times).

After six units, there is a test; at the end of the course, there is an other one. If you pass, you get a certificate.

You access these courses via https://minato-jf.jp

The courses are free but you have to register with a username and password - that way, the website keeps track of your progress.

Heartily recommended - give them a try!

Anything to get me motivated in progressing forward in my learning, instead of stagnating in constant revision. Plus the allure of a certificate is appealing ^_^

I know right? That works for me, too. If the past courses are anything to go by, upon completion you also get some internet goodies, e.g. a nice overview of the kanji you have encountered during the course.
