This is nuts. Duolingo, why does it take so long to fix such evident errors in English? There are way too many. It is really frustrating to have to type in answers that we know are wrong. You are making it harder to learn the language.
The use of the word "proficiency" is awkward and sounds too formal.
I feel like "skills" would be a better alternative. If not, at least make it an acceptable answer.
Also the same answer with the more accurate 'Spanish language proficiency' is apparently incorrect too...
"Your Spanish has improved" is as good and as correct.. Sorry Birdie. Can you do something to improve your system at all. It takes way too much for you to react constructively. In this time and age of speed and Internet, it is simply unacceptable.. Inconceivable.. You say?
