French: Repeating the same level unit for revision - is it possible?

I’m slowly working my way through Duolingo French. Sometimes it all “goes in”, other times not. I’ve just done ‘Negatives’ (crown level 2) and at the end of it realised that I wasn’t remembering the word patterns. But I can’t revise level 2 again, because I’m presented with level 3. What’s my best option for getting Negative word patterns and phrases to stick ? How can I revise this one grammar element?

Go to the duome site and put your user name where mine is. You will see the individual lessons you have done and can click on the dumbbell to practice for just that lesson. It might help.

Update: duome is everything that I’ve been missing. Thanks again for this, Gail!

I don't understand the problem. Level three shouldn't be that different from level two. You should be able to learn the patterns from level three as well (you'll just make a few more mistakes).

Thanks. I guess I need to make more written notes to help me remember and have something to check later. Onwards and upwards = level 3.

yes, do not worry, until level 5 you will very often find the same words, which will allow you to memorize them. However, at the top of your tree, by clicking on "words" the list of all those you have learned is displayed :)

yes, that's a good idea. Taking notes seems to lodge new learning better in the brain somehow.
