A Big Thank You Duolingo
Ok, so, I've been complaining a bit in here hehe, but I'd like to say that all I say is intended to contribute for the progressing of this marvelous platform. I'd like to show my love for Duolingo. This site/app is so incredible and means so much to me... knowing that there are people working so so hard to give me a brigde to learning languages (which is the very thing I breath for) --and the best part:-- for free is so incredible I get really speechless. Duolingo Team, I, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the hard work. And I still haven't given up on my hope of one day joining y'all and being part of the team ;)
Edit: I just finished watching the documentary Something Like Home, by Duolingo and I am so touched. I get realy speechless when I think of everything Duolingo has been doing for people all over the world. The Syria War, in special, touches me deeply, even though I don't have family, nor friend or anything involved in it, but I get really sad thinking about all the struggles people are going through because of this war and seeing such a wonderful thing, people being able to get over all the hardness and reach a stable life again is so heartfilling :)
It needs to be said more. The team behind DL doesn't get enough love for what they do.
I totally agree with you, silva! Since joining in March, I have learned so much and met interesting people at the Duolingo events. Who are these people behind the scenes?!! What an incredible gift to those of us who take advantage of their generosity. The French moderators are so helpful and patient. And the regular participants help each other when possible too. It renews my faith in humanity that people, total strangers, are willing to help each other for the pure pleasure and satisfaction that helping each other brings. Keep it up Duolingo! Same for the Duolingo community. And thanks silvaguer for bringing attention to the wonderful job Duolingo is doing. I hope to see your name as a MOD one day!
You are welcome!! Oh, thx a lot! I, too, hope to see myself as a MOD one day hahaha
