Activity Details Page Miscalculating Student Lessons and XP

I use the activity details page to create and regularly update a leaderboard over the summer months for my students. They compete with each other to see who can be active the most days, who can complete the most skills, and who can earn the most points and then I give out prizes the first day of school. When I started to check everyone's progress today by selecting the date range (June 15-today) I found my students points and lessons had doubled. There appears to be a bug in the system that is causing lessons to be counted twice. Here's an example of what it looks like:

Jul 16, 2018 12:10 PM Arts Test 60 XP

Jul 16, 2018 12:10 PM Arts Test 60 XP

Jul 11, 2018 6:51 PM Abstract Objects 37/710 XP

Jul 11, 2018 6:51 PM Abstract Objects 37/710 XP

Looking at one student the problem only appears to be affecting work completed June 22nd through July 16th, but then on another student the affected work spans June 25th through July 29th. Can anything be done to correct this? I'm at a loss as to how I can motivate my students to participate when their scores have become meaningless. (Some students scores are unaffected while others have seen their scores doubled.)
