I wrote "food, drink" because I'm under the impression that, like Spanish, definite articles are used with generic nouns. Is this really wrong?
I did the same thing. It seems like sometimes you need to put "the" in the answer and sometimes you don't. I haven't figured out why yet.
you will know when there will be more context around it, for sure.
Out of context, it is difficult to be absolutely sure.
With nourriture, how is there a difference between 'dinner' and 'diet'?
dinner is "un dîner"
diet is " un régime"
I wrote food, drink as well. I think either should be okay.
"the drinks" sounds more normal to me, even if it's not literal...
