I realize there may not be a lot of reliable data to support the answer to this question either way, but in light of this sentence, I wondered whether large percentages of the Klingon population might be illiterate?

Of course, the reading material referred to here could just as easily be in a different language - DIvI' Hol, for example - which the speaker of this sentence can read, but the addressee cannot.
