Quick turkish question
I believe the proper way to say They are drinking coffee in turkish is Onlar kahve iciyorlar, however google translate and other translation sites say otherwise, can someone clarify this for me please?
They drink coffee : kahve içerler, Google translation .
The above mentioned translation is correct but the tense is simple present tense in Turkish they call it, Geniş Zaman. the verb iç plus the suffix ''er'' for Geniş Zaman and the suffix ''ler'' for the plural.
However, your translation is correct, Onlar kahve iciyorlar = they are drinking the coffe. the verb iç, you add the suffix ''yor''for present continuous,' in Turkish lamguage, Şimdiki Zaman, and you add ''lar'' suffix for the plural. So the difference is the tense. If you mention the subject or omit it the sentence is correct.
