Could it also be 'quieres ir a cenar manana'? If not, what is the difference between 'ir' and 'salir' in this context?

I suspect DL will accept it if you report it. Did you? DL doesn't make changes based on comments in this forum. I'm averaging about 5 acceptances a month with this new DL format.

If "a" is needed before cenar why isn't it needed before salir?
