Tinycards emailed me!!!
I couldn't be happier :). I got this email today...
The Tinycards team would like to feature your decks, birds (Vögel) English/German, Europe (Europa) English/German and Earth (Erde) English/German in a new Top German Decks row that we’re adding to the Tinycards home screen. This means that your decks will be more visible to German learners in Tinycards. It also means that anyone who studies these decks will earn Duolingo XP.
We’ll be starting this experiment on web and Android within the next month or so, and if it’s successful we’ll roll it out to iOS after that. We just wanted to give you a heads up in case you become Tinycards famous. Thank you so much for creating awesome decks!

Wow!!! That's so cool!! Congratulations to you!! Well done!! Everytime I saw your posts about another Deck that's out, I thought "Way to go!" - your work payed off!
Congratulations! How about a deck with words about farm life? (I often feel like language courses tend to lean heavily toward vocabulary for city life and city tourism).
Ich habe schon einige deiner vielen Decks angetestet und muss zugeben: das hast du dir redlich verdient. Gratulation.
Danke. Ich bin froh, dass meine Karten dir gefell. Abonnieren nicht vergessen. ;)
Wow, that's beyond awesome! Great job!! Thank you for your contributions to all of our learning journeys!! ☺☺♥☺☺
Thank you :). Helping others learn this amazing language was my main objective to creating the cards. But to be honest, teaching is one of the best learning tools, so I also did it for myself :)
Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Ich habe noch nie jemanden mit so vielen Decks auf Tinycards gesehen. Wie viele Decks haben sie denn?
Viel Dank. Ich habe einhundertsechsunddreißig Decks. Ich habe keine Ahnung, wie viele Wörter es gibt.
Danke dir. Ich wünschte, es gäbe mehr Möglichkeiten zu teilen :)
(Thank you. I wish there were more opportunities to share :) )
thanks for the lingot. as i am starting out with duolingo i never have very may lingots!!!
Hi. I appreciate your effort, but I have a suggestion that would enable me to use your decks - although it would be a lot of work for you.
Could you translate the articles along with the nouns?
If the question is 'die Ente' and I type in 'the duck', it's marked wrong. If the question is 'duck' and I type in 'Ente', it's marked wrong. Yes, I know I can override that, but it's annoying and it stops me wanting to use what is otherwise a fine resource.
I appreciate your comment and the fact that you have tried the decks. Thank you. I made the executive decision not to use "the" for the English side of the noun decks because it is rather redundant. The reason that I include the articles in the German version of the deck is that it is a very integral part of learning German. I do hope that you can overcome the annoyance of training yourself to ignore "the" on the English side and learn the articles on the German side. If not, thanks for trying none the less. :)
