Bola-bola itu merah dan putih
YES!! and the answer for the other question "They enter the schools." is "Mereka masuk ke sekolah-sekolah ITU."
"Bola-bola ini" is "these balls" or "the balls"?
It can be both, depending on the context. It all depends on how far away an object is from the speaker.
NOBODY said they were close so bola-bola itu should be accepted as ALWAYS before
Bola-bolanya merah dan putih.
I think 'Bola ini merah dan putih' also can be translated 'the balls are red and white'....
no need for ini or the hyphen.
Why all of a sudden "itu" can't be accepted for "the"???? Come on guys... keep up the good work but the inconsistency is hurting
