Moving to Warszawa

Cześć przyjaciele!

I am slowly making progress on duolingo (about 1/3 of the course complete) and am finally moving back to my favorite city in the world, Warszawa, from Detroit, Michigan (USA). I wanted to ask if any of you have any recommendations on how I can better improve my Polish skills while in Poland? I lived in Warsaw last year for 4 months and learned a lot speaking with the natives, but now that I have 2 years in Poland I want to really dive deep into the language. Any suggestions?

Well I've been living in Warsaw for some months already with zero polish knowledge, so for me was basically signing up to a course. If you have more knowledge on the language and you feel able to keep a conversation, I think there're plenty of opportunities like the language tandem meetings that get published on couchsurfing.

I am looking into Polish language classes, but cannot determine where the good schools are (I'll be a Politechnika student, and I'm going to live right by Hala Koszyki)

I'm attending classes here: https://www.instytutjezykowy.pl/en/ But for sure they should have courses in the Politechnika I'd believe.

I will definitely check them out! What has your experience been so far?

Enjoy your time there! Beautiful city :)

Maybe watching some documentaries/ movies in Polish might help? What helps me with my Polish (which is far from stellar) is thinking about the language or translations and asking people who know the language really well what they think :)

I usually watch series or movies with subtitles in polish, that helps a lot!
