Why is "shop" for "toko" marked as wrong? Is English not fully recognised (or should I write "recognized") by Duolingo and that we must use American English? The American English usage of putting a comma before an "and" is also used here; e.g. "a, b, and c" rather than "a, b and c".
No doubt the English vs. American English comments has been raised many times here. This is just to clarify because Duolingo says this is an English course (not American English although the graphic is the USA flag). So answers be in American English?
I don't think it's that in-depth, shop is an accepted answer for other questions. They just don't have it here.
I might not be 100% on this but from what i remember its something like to go to, but not? If youre like "dia pergi ke pasar" it could be she went to the market or she is going to the market. Someone else should verify though. Both of them indicate that that someond is going from point a to point b, hope this helps!
