"Ada" is not always needed, you can just say "saya di dapur" or "aku di dapur."

Is it more natural to drop the "ada"?

What is difference between ada and adalah?

"Ada" literal translation is "being present" and is related to location. "Adalah" refers to the english word "is" when describing a noun.

Ada kucing disini: There's a cat here

Saya ada disini: I am here

Kucing adalah hewan: cat is an animal

Dia adalah papa saya: he is my dad.

I don't think 'ada' is needed in this sentence...?

"ada" is optional, but since this is a learning site, i think it's a good chance to learn "ada". Besides without any context, it sounds better
