What's the difference between "a obra" and "o trabalho"?
Forme, "a obra" here is the work that is done at a construction site. Parar a obra = to stop building something.
Thanks!
Could it be correct to also say "They said that the work had BEEN stopped?
Yeah acceptable..., but literally that would be "tinha sido parada"
'had been stopped' wasn't accepted in a previous question (with trabalho).
Can obra be play as in theater?
Só eu achei estranha a pronúncia de "disseram"? Foi falado diss"ê"ram quando o mais comum é diss"é"ram?
"They told that the work had stopped " --- Why not ??
"They told" needs an indirect object.
They told me, us, him, her, etc.
