"Do you like jewelry!"
I typed "Du magst Schmuck?" Is that wrong? I thought I might be able to do "du magst", not just "magst du"?
I gave the same answer, du magst Schmuck' same result. Why is it wrong when the given answer is 'magst du Schmuck' what changes by putting the 'du' as the second word?
Du magst schmuck = you like jewellery, it's not a question (even though you can make it sound like one) In german, putting the verb first turns a phrase into a question. E.g. "Du schwimmst" = "you swim"; "schwimmst du" = "do you swim".
Thank you for the explanation, I now understand why I have been getting similar question wrong.
