How should I practice the levels?

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to learn a language using this system. It seems to be working. However, I wanted your opinions. I have been going down each list as they become available and keep renewing them when they go grey (like verbs, basics, time etc.). Do you have any methods that work best for you? Maybe staying only within the basics area until you become "fluent in basics", like reaching level 25 in basics, and then working your way down?

Thanks in advance everyone!

I think there is not the "one best way" that works for everyone. I progress in a similar way as described by you: Going through the tree at level 1 to get an overview of all the topics, and doing some higher levels if I feel like it.

As long as I don't make too many mistakes, I think this is totally fine. Duolingo remembers the mistakes that I did make, and will show me those sentences again. This makes me confident.

Other people feel that they should progress only if they really master the topic they were dealing with. The good thing within Duolingo is: You can change your strategy when you feel that your way of proceeding is not what you'd like to do. Or you can do a mix. This is something that I really like.

Happy learning! :-)
