"Have fun" in modern Hebrew?

It seems there's two ways to say "have fun," תהנו או תהני, & they seem to be pronounced differently. Based on how they are pronounced, I think the vowels are תֵהַנוּ and תֵהִנֵי respectively. I'm not sure whether I'm hearing these words correctly. My Dov Ben Hebrew/English doesn't seem to have either word. תהני sounds like the biblical Hebrew word הני, "behold." Thanks for the help. בינסנת

The word תהנו (plural) is pronounced "tehanu", the word תהנה (male singular) is pronounced "tehane" and the word תהני (female singular) is pronounced "tehani".

[About your "name" (AniOhebYayin), I guess what you mean is "I love wine" which is pronounced "ani ohev yayin". (v instead of b...)]

{Edit: By the way, it's already night here in Israel, so I didn't write that on Sabbath}

The difference is male and female forms, with תהנו being male and תהני being female. The infinitive of the verb is להנות and it's the future forms that are being used here (as the future can be used instead of the imperative).

As far as I know, תהנו is plural, תהנה is male and תהני is female

You're right, I had meant to write "male plural". Got lost somewhere.

Regarding pronunciation, I find the Forvo website very useful (In addition to Hebrew, you can use it to compare Ancient versus Modern Greek pronunciations).

For example, see:
