In a few years, my goal is to get into a university in Poland that teaches in English. If I get in I'll spend about 6 years in Krakow. Should I start the Polish tree even though I might not get in?
I say go for it! It may make you look much better on your university application if you put down you are fluent in Polish, or that you can understand much of it. Best wishes on your goal of going to a Polish university!
i doubt duolingo will give you everything you need to study in poland, but i do recommend using it as supplement and a starter! on top of that polish is a really interesting and fun language to learn regardless :)
Yes. If that's your dream, go for it. And I do recommend starting right now, because Polish isn't that easy.
And since you want to know Polish at an university level, don't use only Duolingo. You'll need a lot of dedication as well. I live in Czechia 3km from the Polish border, and, even knowing Czech, Polish isn't that easy for me...
It would be very wise if you start from now. And please repeat the lessons as much as possible from the start and do it every day. Write down the words in a small notebook look them when you can like on your way. Good luck
Definitely you should give it a go. I also have uncertain situation, expecting to move to the Netherlands. I', not 100% sure if this is going to happen but I've decided to take the Dutch course here.
You should do that. Even though if you won't get in, you must do it. It's quite easy.
