Please include the least used words and not always the same words every day
I wish that duolingo would include in the exercises the words that are least used in the past days or weeks. Sometimes I feel that the same set of words that I'm already familiar comes over and over every day, or sometime 2 consecutive exercises has the exact same content as the previous one.
Don't you think that might be due to a focus on one particular skill? Spreading your focus over the entire skill tree would offer more variation in vocab.
You don’t just feel like that. It’s actually happening. Same words. Over and over and over. There aren’t ever that many least used words because they don’t introduce that many. I will say that I noticed lately that the vocab has finally started to increase and it’s about time. What number topic are you on?
I checked your progress here: https://duome.eu/Ginasem/progress and I noticed you get every skill to level 5 before moving on. It's actually not required to do so; if you like, you can move on after just level 1. Most users prefer somewhere in between: level 2-3 and before moving on to other topics further down the tree.
Of course, everyone learns differently, but if you feel that the vocab is too repetitive, you may like to progress a bit and return to the older skills later just for review.
I think we learn by repeating! Duolingo introduces new words gradually and does not let you forget them by repeating them for a while. If you see it that way then you won't get frustrated about it. It's a good thing really, I find.
I agree! I am always getting the same words in practice, while others are neglected to the point that i am having to design my own reviews. I wonder if this is due to the program hitting on a word that I got wrong, and then never recalibrating my weak points. I actually missed the word "carrot" a few times, once being a typo, and now I get "carrot" in every other sentence.
Oh, but that's the worst - the practice button gives you such little variety
More variety would be great.
Oh but that's weakest skill, maybe if they put some weakest sentences / sentences with weakest words it would be more helpful.
I'm already done with all the individual exercises so I'm just learning through the "PRACTICE".
But everyday the same words "leer" "escribir" "abrir" "HABLAR" "necesitar" etc. appears that I already forgot the meaning of "mezcla" "derrotan" "culpa" "sonar" "rodilla" "cielo" the use of oneself "se" etc.
This pure repetition at this point would only make me remember those words and forget again the rest. Probably maximum of 3 sentences with the same word is already enough for a week to give chance for the other words to also be refreshed to one's mind. But oh well as of now, everyday I'm seeing the "Tu lees muchos libros", or the already memorized "?Hablas espanol?", everyday.
