Welsh spelling on phone

I lost all my life on the Welsh duolingo because it wouldn't except Dwr for water. I am guessing because i didn't put the little arrow above the W, but there is no way of doing this on the phone, from what I can see. I tried a new lesson today, and the first word it wanted was water!

If you change your phone keyboard language to English (UK), the accents needed for Welsh become available if you hold down the respective letter. You can change your language on an iphone via settings and keyboards and languages, on other devices a quick search online should help!

My iPhone lets me set the keyboard to Cymraeg.

I have swiftkey. It allows you to hold down the w and the w with the accent mark comes up. And iphone has cymraeg, so that should not be a problem. But I like swiftkey. It allows me to switch back and forth between 2 languages and it is a swipe keyboard.

If you have an android phone, just go the the play store and download a plug in. These will allow you to change the keyboard from English to Welsh & Saesneg i Gymraeg in the same message/text and most other apps. On some phones you can also change the keyboard to add additional languages. Hope this helps you, if not then hopefully it will help those on an android phone.
