Duolingo is the most popular way to learn languages in the world. Best of all, it's 100% free!

Can anyone tell me why this was marked wrong?

I've tried but I just don't see where my mistake is. Thanks!

It says, "Mark all correct translations." "Roja como un tomate" is also correct, I guess. I'm not on that level yet.

If you look at the bottom of the screenshot it shows you what the correct answer is. You checked one but two are correct.

Duolingo is full of "obvious" things that catch me by surprise, too. The developers are constantly tweaking it and testing it to see what works best. The answer at the bottom has for sure been different sizes, and maybe different colors in the year or so I've been here. I see posts in the forums saying "Yay! New feature! This is so cool!" or "Hey! Where did my favorite feature go?!" and I'm thinking "Feature? I never noticed that..." :-/

Yes, there are in DL a lot of continuous cosmetic changes but essential features remain unmovable and the demanded features (for instance, the report button in the iPad) are not considered or they can not implement them. They are so much busy in the Babel Tower building...

If you are speaking about a woman, you will say to her "estás roja como un tomate" hence this option is also correct. You had to mark both options.
