A more natural English translation would be 'that orange fruit is called an orange by us'

We call it "jeruk". That orange fruit is called "jeruk" by us. Someone speaking Indonesian isn't telling us it's an orange. Tricky translating.

Does anyone else think it's funny that we call an Orange "orange" but we don't call a Lemon "yellow" One of life's linguistic oddities. (In English at least)

The funny thing is that ripe Indonesian oranges are green on the outside. LOL

What is the difference between "oranye" and "jeruk"?

Oranye = orange, the color. Jeruk = orange, the fruit.
