Selamat tinggal - Goodbye (if you are leaving)

Selamat jalan - Goodbye (if they are leaving)

Tinggal = stay

Jalan = road

So like .. more literally selamat is like... "Wishing upon you" and the other word modifies it into like... "Wishing you a good travel/stay"

    To a native English speaker, Bye and Goodbye are the same. Both should be accepted

    Good bye should be accepted as well
