Is "Read the book" a wrong option?

The imperative also works, because the simple present and imperative in the second person plural look the same!

where is "all" come from?

Verbs that end in "ete" like "leggete" or "scrivete" correspond to the word "voi", which is the plural form of "you", so it's assumed that you're addressing more than one person if you use it.
