"Di situ terdapat banyak sapi."

Translation:Over there are many cows.

Got this one in the “word bank” exercise. I’d suggest the literal translation is also the more natural English sentence: “Over there, there are many cows”, or even “There are many cows over there”. This differentiates location (di situ/over there) from existence (terdapat/there are).

Thank you.

How does the usage of 'terdapat' compare to the usage of 'ada'?

Contohnya, "Di situ ada banyak sapi."

In this context, both will have the same meaning. Usually, in a sentence, "terdapat" can be replaced with "ada", but not the other way.

Why not: "There are alot of cows over there"
