"L'éléphant est vert."

Translation:The elephant is green.

It could be describing one of the pictures in The Story of Babar where the old elephant king dies from eating a poisonous mushroom... that was originally in French, after all. :o)

I like that they use strange and unexpected sentences like this, it really tests your skills rather than let you be able to guess by the context.

Agreed, I got this one wrong as I just couldn't pick the last word. Turns out I rely too much on context. Must try harder!

I just thought it might interest you out there that there's this bare famous Brazilian children's comic book with a green elephant in it [for no apparent reason]; so famous the character went on to feature on the tins of one of the most popular local brands of tomato sauce [again, for no apparent reason]. Thank you.

João, that was great! Amazing the things I learn from you guys!

Sorry to sound like teacher's pet (I enjoyed the comments) but the advantage of translating stuff that does not make sense is that you need a better understanding of the language, you can't guess from the context.

Weirdest sentence i have ever come accross at doulingo

Well, that's just silly.

I got this wrong lol i should pay more attentiom . that was all on me
