Adding a "review mistakes" feature after lessons or timed practice
One of my most longed-for features is the ability to review mistakes made during a lesson or timed practice session. I think this would be particularly useful for people who are starting out with a new language on Duo and need regular feedback and reminders about grammar, genders etc.
Surely it would not be too much work to summarise the mistakes made during a lesson or timed practice session and offer the user the ability to review them at the end? I'm sure that would reduce the amount that mistakes get repeated and help reinforce grammar points, endings, genders etc, thus speeding up the learning process.
I know this has been requested before but I thought I'd just add my voice to the crowd :)
Thanks to the Duo team for being generally amazing as well!
I hope the staff will not be upset if I spoil the surprise...
But this feature is going to be available! :-) I don't know exactly when or if it will be for all the users or just for a test group first. I know because I had to translate some interface strings related to this in the incubator.
Glad to hear it is still coming.:) It was one of the Hackathon projects from last year.
I think this would be especially good on a timed practise, because at the moment I'm too busy trying to keep the timer going to stop and consider my mistakes properly, let alone read the discussion page.
That'd be very convenient, actually. I never thought of that, and I hope this idea gets noticed.
That is an awesome idea. If they had that feature I would use the app Ankidroid.
Fabulous idea. It would certainly be of use to me. At the moment I use screeds of handwritten notes!
