I put, "It recited a speech to us." What if Data had delivered a speech to ignorant, or prejudiced, Klingons?

If it's not a being capable of language, can it really "recite" the speech, or just "play" the speech? In any case, I've added "it" to the alternatives, but not to the "best" translation.

It did not accept "He recited a lecture to us," even though "lecture" is given as a translation of {SoQ.}
