This dictionary says -fadhaika means "be confused, be perplexed, be dismayed, be demented, be troubled", and this one says "be confused/perplexed/dismayed/troubled/demented".
None of those says "depressed", so where is this meaning coming from?
I'm not sure, I also wouldn't describe 'fadhaika' as depressed. I agree more with 'troubled' or 'distressed'
Depressed and distraught were both used. However they just rejected distraught.
