Maybe "flammable"??

Combustible or flammable is more accurate. "Burnable" is too literal a translation IHMO.

Any chance of a resolution to this? 20201002

Burnable, combustible, flammable, ignitable, (the soon outdated) inflammable - synonymous these are, the one better in some context;

yes, oil is 'combustible' ('burnable', which is not as widely encountered) - burns quickly; it's also 'ignitable' - catches fire; it's 'flammable' - easily ignited and combustible, i.e. bursts into (a) flame;

"oil is flammable:" best rendition.
